Meet Daisy

Our new goat Daisy. She is a pure bred Nubian

A muddy tale

Yesterday we went to get a goat from a member of our ward. We dropped baby off at Aunt Rae's and started out. We took 5600 instead of 6600. Everything was going well until we got stuck in the mud. We were stuck in our little red car. Big brother and sister thought it was fun with the mud spraying every where as we tried to get out. Daddy had to go out and wade through the mud so he could try and push the car. We were almost out and we really got stuck. So we called a friend of a friend who had a truck to come pull us out. None of us but daddy had coats since this was suppose to be a quick trip. Daddy so kindly gave the kids his coat. So the before the friend of a friend could get there a guy stopped but his friend in his truck was dead drunk and he couldn't help us. The guy we were getting the goat from came to rescue us and ended up getting stuck himself. Finally the friend of the friend showed up. Mommy and the kids were on the side of the road huddled together to stay warm. While they were trying to decide how to hook the car up mommy remembered there was a blanket in the trunk. While we were getting warm in the blanket daddy and the friend of a friend were laying in the mud so they could hook up the car. Finally they started pulling it out. The car came free...only problem was it was a ways down the road so mommy and the kids started walking to the car. Daddy met them halfway and said take the kids and go home and he started back to help. We went and picked up Baby and Aunt Rae was very impressed at how muddy the car was. So over all not such a good night but it was very entertaining. Lesson learned: If going out just before dark bring a coat and always make sure you have a blanket in your car you never know when you might get stuck in the mud and have to use it.
